  I agree with full disclosure of pedophiles in the area and I am sure there are updated sites people can go to to view criminals in the area?

  The problem is BroBennett that so many JWs have this attitude or are forced to have this attitude (below) which you expressed in your last post:

  the subject of child abuse will never be an easy topic to discuss and it should be kept in the family

  With misguided and harmful attitudes like that information will never be fully disclosed as you agreed should be the case.

  ok...we have been stocking up our liquor bar....and i saw this whisky: macnaughton for super cheap.....................(it says it is a canadian whiskey...but don't believe it........i know canadian whiskey's...this doesn't qualify).

  There are so many good Scottish single malts. I find that two of the more easy and smooth drinking ones are Lagavulin and (the) Glenlivet.

  in the second study article (pages 15-20), the gb acknowledge the fact that people aren't paying attention to their waffle.. .

  there are some surprising statements in the last paragraph, but first, let's highlight some points in this article.... .

  Why didn't they stipulate the 'hard things to grasp', such as?

  I think that this is obious: It would actually relate to people not accepting lies or intellectual dishonesty put forward by the WT. I think WT would rather not discuss these things because it will make them look bad. You can't look like your wrong if you're claiming to be in direct communication with God.

  2 1/2 years ago i met my non-jw boyfriend, and i received a shepherding call from two lovely elders who told me that i was mixing good with evil, and didn't i know the man i loved was going to die at armaggedon?

  they left me in tears...not as though i left my boyfriend of course.

  i've made sure that things like that don't get to me anymore.

  Exactly Ozzie. That's why it looks more like a case of the above.

  Thanks for the quote Else. Looking at this quote it is now seems obvious why the WT invented the 1914 doctrine of the war in Heaven and Satan being cast down to Earth to cause havoc. It was designed to compensate for their founder and leader's false prophecy of Armageddon being completed in 1915.

  merlot is not my preferrence (it was a passing fad with me about 15 years ago).

  now i prefer the blended cabernet sauvignon-merlot.

  'b.b' does not represent the Society, no more than I but there is no reason for anyone to discredit the Society for much of what has been said.

  The problem is, gdt. that his attitudes are very typical and very common amongst the majority of JWs.

  I am glad that at least you as a JW are seeing that his attitude is wrong but I think you are unfortunately in the minority gdt with the JWs on this issue of child sexual abuse.

  What's your worst job experiences?

  i don't have too many crumby experiences, but i was just sitting here thinking about when i worked as a hostess at a local restaurant.

  it was kind of a family-owned restaurant, and whoever had worked there for a long time still worked there no matter how @$@#^ their attitudes were.

  i tried and tried to just be polite and have conversations with them but they didn't like me and were antagonizing me to the point of being in tears from the start.. there was one particular waitress who the men would walk in and specifically ask for..like walk up and whisper in your ear..."put me at a----'s table, please"..it wasn't too big of a mystery why all the men asked for her.. and one particular waitress made a habit of throwing the menu's at me when she wanted them put back after being used...like walk by me and throw them over her shoulder and i would be trying to catch them all.. there was also alot of he-said-she-said bullcrap.

  Worst job experience was actually not in my shitty jobs of my youth (and believe me I had some) but later in life. I work in the Investment Banking industry and have had various positions over the years from Stock Broker, Trader, Institutional Sales and Trading, and Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.

  The worst experience by far was when I was on the trading desk and I was flipping massive quantities of Stocks and Derivatives. For the most part I was very good at clipping on momentum (and still am although I don't do it nearly as often since I am off the desk now). I was rather lucky on my stint on the trading desk making good money (once I made $58,000 in about 50 seconds). One day I was trying to score large on some derivatives called "options" on a Big Medical/Health Care company in the U.S. and the stock got unexpectedly halted. News came out of an F.B.I. raid on the corporate headquarters relating to illegal billing practices and the stock reopened the next morning with my options in the dumper. Worse still the options expired that day worthless. It may not sound like a big deal but It added a few grey hairs to my head that day since I was riding (very) high and lost personal and client money.

  What do you think some posters look like?

  its funny that when i imagine what other posters look like - i alway imagine them as attractive, fit, well groomed, with bright, shiny happy faces.

  i never see them as obese, nerdy, or with greasy hair and warts and pimples.

  their noses are never too big - no body has a "comb-over.
